The Unmasking of The Mandalorian

mimmi92025

There were rumors that Pedro Pascal was unhappy about his lack of no-helmet time. I don’t know if that’s true, or if Jon Favreau intended to reveal Mando’s face all along, but whomever made the decision to show Din’s face in the last two episodes of The Mandalorian deserves a HUGE bonus. In Chapter 15, The Believer, Mando’s unconditional love for Grogu is confirmed in his removal of his helmet. Nothing is too great a sacrifice if it saves the child – not even his faith. Every parent, grandparent, aunt, and uncle related to that feeling. Then in Chapter 16, The Rescue, when Mando removed his helmet so Grogu could see him cemented our love for the characters and the show. I think we all stopped breathing for a second when Grogu’s little hand touched Mando’s face – the first touch he felt in decades. I still get chills thinking about it. Our tears flowed; our hearts broke. This scene will go down in history as one of the greatest moments in Star War’s history. Thanks to everyone involved with this decision and to Pedro for his excellent portrayal. You brought us a spark of hope in a devastating year.
